UGA Running Backs

What YALL think about the rumors that Caleb King might see some playing time this Sat.? I'm very opposed to him losing his red-shirt status just for a few carries in one game. We do expect T. Brown back for the Auburn game I'm sure if not the Troy game. I say feed Knowshon all day & give it to Kalvin Daniels (he looked pretty darn good against Ole Miss) if/when K-MO needs a breather.

On another note:

Tim Worley (who will be inducted into the GA-FL hall of fame this weekend) was interviewed last night on 680AM & said, \"As a Freshman playing against undefeated, #1 ranked Florida in 1985, being a 17 point underdog didn't bother me a bit. I was too young to know or care that we weren't supposed to win the game. I just remember being really pumped up to play in such a great rivalry game.\"
I was just a kid back in 85' but I sure remember Worley & Henderson RUNNING ALL OVER the Orange & Blue that day.
Hopefully K-MO will play w/the same reckless abandonment as Worley did back in 85' & RUN WILD on the lizards too!

GooseDawg78, I agree. Let CK keep his redshirt on. IMO the return that we would get in using him over our current backup RB's is not worth losing eligibility in 7 games (no. played to this date).

In my entire lifetime (I'm 107 yrs old now), you only have a small handful of super RB's like
Herschel, Bo Jackson, O.J., Barry Sanders, Jim Brown and maybe one or two others. And that is for the whole country. We are blessed to have gotten one of them. Anything short of that quality of talent isn't worth losing a year of eligibility.

Myself im not so fond of the read shirt. If you have a talented ball player play him. period. 3 4 years from now there will be another young man just waiting to step in. It always happens. I like playing the best we have against the best they have, and let tomorrow take care of its self. If you do your job today and win you will recruit the best available for tomorrow. And guys when ya do that we all win ! Jus a thought !
