Origin of "Dawg" and/or "Hawg" was created by RR-Dawg
Since moving to Ar, I'm in constant verbal battles with these damn razorback fans. Where and when did the slang versions of dogs and hogs begin? I'm sure the razorbacks must have ripped it from us.
I tried searching a few sites but with no luck. Anyone have any FACTUAL info on the origins of "Dawg" and "Hawg"?

I feel your pain, believe me I do. At least them Hawgs chose a fairly good color. Livin up here with these root eating Urenge voles and their Purina bowl is a real treat! Seems every time I get into one of their games and root for them they lose. Sure wasn't rooting for any mud lizard. Go Dawgs!

AR......TN??????? Guys...you don't even know what having it hard is!! LOL!! I live in Pensacola, FL. I see more Orange and Blue (and I mean Gaytors and Tigers) than my stomach can take sometimes!!! Not to mention I'm just a few hours from LA.....yup....MORE TIGERS!!! LOL!!! Northwest panhandle of FL is surely no place for a Dawg!! My only saving grace is that my next door neighbor has an English Bulldog.....she calls her Roxie......I'm working on that!! LOL!!
