Underdogs this Weekend

This game makes me REAL nervous. Don't like playing good balanced teams that have had a week off. Huge advantage for ut having that bye week. I think we are the better team but feel we will have to play the best game this year in order to win it.

Dapolla, although I respect your opinion, I adamantly disagree. While I admit that I loved the guy while at Georgia, and he did have some GREAT defenses during his tenure, I would not take him back under any conditions. I saw Van Gorder up close and personal during his one year tenure at GSU and he is horrible. He is one of the most arogant, egotistical coaches in the game. He openly blamed his players, assistant coaches, fans and the community for his losses. He made the statement while losing one game at halftime, \"No, I don't make adjustments\". Sorry for the rant but he is not a class act that I would want associated with any program that I cheer for.

As I have said in a previous post, we have been underdawgs all year long. Why would we expect any less from the critics? We were an underdawg against bama and only a 3 pt. favorite against W. Carolina. And about the defensive coordinator deal, I just think that we should have cloned Erk Russell and that would have solved all of our problems. Erk had his own slogan for his defense \" Don't bend, BUT break the opponents necks \". (I know it was corney, but it was all i could think of)!

We will also have to listen to the ESPN bunch talk about how bad we are all night on Friday and all day on Saturday until the game actually starts. Have they picked us one time except for the W. Carolina game? Now, as far as VanGorder goes, we have been better statistically on defense under Martinez than we were under VanGorder.......even if Martinez does sometimes drive us all crazy with his \"bend but don't break\" approach.
