Red and Black, Win or Lose

We're so, SO close. I'm sort of sad that this weekly thing has to end, but I know that Thursdays will be taken up with talking about the upcoming game once the season starts, so Rodney Hampton is our next-to-last Dawg.
I don't have the energy right now to recount my memories of Rodney. Please use this space to do so. Thanks!

I loved watching Hampton run all over the Vowels and the Gators in 1988, and I especially enjoyed his performance in the Gator Bowl, sending Coach Dooley out with a win.

Yet another reason why UGA was called running back U.
I don't know much about Hampton's career here at UGA but I do remember he was the driving force of the NY Giants offense in the early 90s.

You know, the saddest thing about Rodney (NFL-wise) was that he played the whole season for the Giants his rookie year, then broke his leg in the playoffs and watched the Superbowl from the sidelines. Doggone shame. But he's got his ring. GO DAWGS!!!
