From Athens - Game Day Friday 06-12-24

Good morning all,

Here we are sitting on the eve of the SECCG asking ourselves again where did the season go and how did it go by so fast.

It was definitely different in a not so good way for myself and many others. Hashing all this out will be center stage during the offseason.

The repeated pregame statements by myself and many others... which Dawg team shows up....  

I like our Dawgs to take care of business .....   remember to continue to check on family and friends often..

This year has been particularly challenging for us to be confident in what team will show up, but only one game left me with a particularly bad taste, Ole Miss.   UGA is really good at keeping you on the edge of your seat but in that Game there was never a feeling of coming back and I hope we don’t have that kind of Game for the rest of the year, starting tomorrow!

Challenging indeed.

It's a while different ball game now with players following the money but when the opening kickoff happens, everything goes back to the game same as it always has.

It's a glorious struggle of men and might... ups and downs... ebbs and flows. There are struggles both mental and physical... territory conquered and territory lost.

In the end, we just need to say we saw these young men leave it all on the field.

I grow old and outdated and many say my old fashioned thoughts no longer apply to this new age, but say what they will; the SEC Championship still means something to me. For Vince... for Bear and for the 90+ years of SEC football history; don't let Texas come in here and take that crown.

For all of us still here and those who have moved on....
