Just let me say that I am disappointed in the Dawg's play this season, but I think at some point everyone needs to sit back and examine their expectations.
2 Nattys in 3 years has upped the ante, but think about this a moment: Brock Bowers and Ladd McConkey were difference makers and their NFL careers are proving that. You don't just replace those guys.
The UGA running back stable has been decimated with injuries, and we lost 2 starting receivers due to disciplinary reasons.
We lost a unicorn dual threat QB as well with Bennett. That guy was a generational talent at this level. Yeah... Beck isn't Bennett. Stafford wasn't Bennett. Murray and Greene weren't Bennett either.
Let's also mention all of the coaches we have lost..
Yet here we sit as probably the 6th ranked team in the nation heading to the SEC championship game yet again... after facing the hardest schedule in the nation, by far.
We just won an epic game against a good team who made that game their Super Bowl, yet to read social media it seems 75% of Dawg nation wants Kirby Smart's head on a platter.
OSU went down to a bad Michigan team... Alabama is ranked behind the Dawgs... Ole Miss is probably out of the playoffs. We've beaten the brakes off of two teams in the playoffs.
NIL has brought a level of parity to the college game we have never seen, yet here we are.. double digit wins and a berth in the SECCG. There's a LOT of factors that have gone into the stew pot of this years team, and a lot of people are failing to look at the ingredients.
I'm as frustrated as everyone else by our inconsistencies, but some of you out there in Dawg nation need to check yourselves, and your demands on this team.
it's hard beating a good team twice in a season so we may be even more disappointed after next week, but I'm gonna hang in there, and be thankful for the program we've developed.
