It is always hard to get fired up by a matchup like this sandwiched between the big UT win and facing the Yellow Bugs on Friday.
Try and look past the numerous merchants of doom and gloom who are lamenting giving up 200 yards rushing and 21 points to the Minutemen.
Those are proud young scholarship worthy men as well, and sometimes you have to understand the context in which that game took place.
Look at the positives... 59 points.. Freeling and the line with another good game.. Nate busting out on the ground.
Now we move forward to face a good and motivated Nerd team in an unusual environment: At night on Friday. This is the Nerds championship and in their Nerd universe, ending Georgia's home winning streak and possibly knocking the Dawgs out of the first 12 team playoff would make amends for all the recent losses to the Georgia team.
Also note that Georgia is now in the SEC championship game for better or worse. Alabama had their Ole Miss moment in Norman Oklahoma, Ole Miss had their Georgia moment in Gaydor land, and A&M pickled themselves against Abuurn.
Georgia just went from 1 win against Tech to get in to possibly now needing two more wins... One a possible rematch with Texas.
On the other hand if UGA looses to the Trekies, they could still win the SEC and make the playoffs.
We live in interesting times. Buckle-up Buttercups, it's going to be a wild ride and the feint of heart have already left the building.
