Well, we didn't have to pull out the "Hob Nail Boot" to win this one. But it was a tough win for the Dawgs.
Here is the story in the classic style of Larry Munson, filled with tension, emotion, and that unmistakable Munson magic

"It was a crisp November afternoon in Athens, Georgia, and the Tennessee Volunteers rolled into town with a swagger that matched their lofty rank. Sanford Stadium was an absolute sea of red and black, the crowd roaring with the ferocity of a hundred thousand Dawgs ready to unleash.

The game started slow, with both teams trading blows in a defensive stalemate. By halftime, the score was tied at 7-7. The Bulldogs had their chances, but Tennessee’s defense was like a brick wall, and they stood tall in the red zone, pushing our boys back time and again. In the third quarter, it looked like Tennessee was going to take control. They marched down the field with a punishing drive, and their quarterback found a receiver in the end zone to put the Vols up 14-7. The crowd grew tense, but we knew there was still fight in our Dawgs.

Late in the fourth quarter, with the clock ticking down, Georgia was down 21-14. The situation looked grim. The Bulldogs had the ball on their own 20-yard line, and they needed a miracle. Carson Beck, calm as ever, took the snap and scanned the field. He found Brock Bowers over the middle, and Bowers broke a tackle, racing down the sideline for a huge gain. The crowd erupted. With seconds left, the Dawgs were on the Tennessee 15-yard line.
Beck dropped back, looking for an opening. He fired a pass to the corner of the end zone. The ball hung in the air for what felt like an eternity. McConkey leaped and made a fingertip catch, dragging his toes just inside the line. Touchdown, Georgia! The stadium went wild. The score was tied at 21-21.

Overtime was looming. Tennessee got the ball first and managed a field goal. The Dawgs needed a touchdown to win. Beck, cool as a cucumber, handed the ball to Edwards, who powered his way through the line for a first down. The Dawgs were in business. On third and goal from the 5-yard line, Beck took the snap, faked a handoff, and rolled right. He spotted Washington in the end zone. He threw a dart, and Washington secured the catch. Touchdown, Georgia!

The Bulldogs had done it. 27-24, the final score. The crowd erupted into a frenzy, the red and black faithful celebrating a thrilling victory. The Dawgs had pulled off another miracle, and the legend of Georgia football grew even stronger."

Go Dawgs! We need 2 more W's to finish the season.

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.
