Give the credit where the credit is due.
Receivers still can't catch, but Beck and the defense were resilient.
A change at left tackle proved beneficial with Monroe Freeling stepping in for Earnest Greene. The O-line kept Beck clean all night. Despite the receivers still dropping catchable balls (Smith, Lovett), Beck made the throws and the TE's really stepped up to make plays.
Defense pitched a 2nd half shutout as well.
Joy in Mudville was had.

Agreed. Glad to get the W.
It was also nice to finally see some action from our tight ends who have been MIA most of the season. I hope we continue down this path. Lay up coming then the final against the nerd herd. Its still in front of us.

Interesting... no love for our OC... noticed the TE's were running out
Of different sets... maybe a slight tip of the hat to OL coach for his work getting his group together....
Limey. ....and KD.... crickets ..... yup still drinking the Kool-aid sitting on the island....
Wishing Brick Ramsey was our QB ..... 10 AM in Athens and the chapel bell still ringing.....
Go Dawgs.....

I will give some credit to the OC for calling a good game. He also cut back on the tunnel screens.
That's what's frustrating with Bobo IMO: He can call a great game... or he can call a bad game where he keeps running the same 4 plays over and over.
I also can't speak well enough of the job Freeling did stepping in for Greene at LT. Makes me think he's just better or that Greene was hurting more than we knew.
I also saw more fast motion across the formation than we had last week and I think the threat of that handoff jet sweep getting on the edge helped keep their D-line from pinning their ears back on every down. The usage of the TE was also critical to the Dawgs success.
The only negative was that our WR's still suffer from the dropsies. Other than that.. no grades lower than a B+ for any group.
