I couldn't agree more, Wart.
Given the difficulties of being on the field far too long yesterday, I think the defense did a serviceable job at slowing down the offense and keeping them from hanging 50 on us. It is utterly inexcusable that a team with Georgia's talent won't be making the 12 team playoff. That was unthinkable before this season began because it should have been unthinkable.
I am absolutely astonished at the regression of this offense. This is the most inept offensive unit I have seen in the Kirby era. Our receivers can't catch, our tight ends can't block or catch, our running backs can't hold onto the ball or break a tackle for more than a 5 yard gain, our offensive line can't protect, we are completely impotent on our redzone offense and completely castrated on goal line offense, our quarterback throws 3:1 ratio of passes behind the line of scrimmage than he does beyond it and our offensive coordinator draws up the same predictable and ineffective plays over and over and over again. Does anyone think that the Ole Miss defense was confused about our offensive scheme yesterday? This was a top-to-bottom display of ineptitude of coaches and players yesterday.
I am DONE with Carson Beck. I don't care who else is going to come on here and tell me "oh he gives us the best chance to win." ______ that. NO. No. You do not sit there on the sidelines after getting your ass handed to you once again, throwing for 186 yards, 1 INT, 1 fumble and no TDs, flushing your season just went down the toilet and all but slamming the door to the college football playoff shut laughing and giggling with your teammates. You're done. Anyone else here on Dawgs want to continue telling me he gives us the best chance to win? I don't give a damn if he does. That attitude is not one of a winner and certainly not the focus of a champion. Kirby's continued defense of Beck is absolutely shameful. I am not saying you get out in front of the press and trash the kid, but be honest and quite white washing what everyone else sees. Stop pissing down my neck and telling me its raining. The dude is LAUGHING and SMILING on the sideline as the time drains off the clock and the season shattered to pieces. That is not a leader, and Kirby continually coach-speaking a defense for this is absolutely shameful. "Guys Carson made some good clutch throws in the pocket." That's what he is supposed to do Kirby. All game.
This family reunion of Richt-era scheisse coaches may well be the undoing of Kirby.
Disgusting.
