Good a Day All,

Yes there will be college football played this .... Weekend....

Yes our game is just three weeks away....

Yes we have many unanswered positions questions... While these times present different challenges than years past... I can remember similar questions being discussed in detail here every preseason leading up to our first game. Granted the number of undecided starters varied from year to year... Some years we are veteran loaded others we have had to experience growing pain playing youth.... so goes college sports...

My thoughts on Jamie Newman....good luck on your football journey.....

And... as with any position vacancy..... Next Man Up.....

Again the depth of our coaching staff recruiting comes into play...

What we heard early on... QB room was overcrowded... players would be

Lining up to get their name into the transfer portal..... hasn’t happened yet.....

Heads are jawing away...as usual... Me ....in Kirby we trust...

Play one game at a time...stay focused..... shut out the noise...

Pause and give thanks....

Continue to check on family and friends often....

Have a safe weekend and week....

I don't think our viability as a contender hinged on an ACC transfer.

Defense... O-line. We can handle the rest with players who want to play.

Newman was never a Dawg until he suited up on the field, so I don't have any feelings about him either way.

There was more to this story than met the eye. What that story was I am not willing to speculate on, at least not publicly. Aaron Murray sniffed it out a mile away too.

Ultimately I don't care and am indifferent to it as well. Like I said in my other post, these senior transfers that come in as a one year flash in the pan are more of a setback for a program than they are an asset. Lesser teams rely on such transfers to give them a one year edge that teams like Georgia shouldn't need. I am not one of these people that likes seeing freshmen QBs ride the pine until their sophomore year. I was in favor of playing Eason as a freshman and I was equally in favor of playing Fromm as a freshman. These kids are recruited to play at UGA because they're the best in the country, they're not walk-ons who are giving their all in practice and we all collectively hold our breath when they have to go into a game. That's not how things work at elite programs. Next man up.

SD..... all good points.... agree we shouldn’t be in a panic when it comes to the QB...needing to seek a grad transfer...

However exceptions do raise the need...

With the transfer portal.. kids wanting to play closer to home..
You could find yourself looking for depth..
