Enjoying an adult beverage... trying to get my head around what is happening to college football
There has been for many years college football programs that fell into one two categories...
Football was an expense that needed to draw funds from the college budget..
Or... football generates enough money to pay for all its operating expenses.. and... is able to provide a large surplus of
Money to the athletic department..... also build a large cash reserve as is the case the Georgia. ....
Might it be that some colleges are looking at canceling football to save. money.... without ticket sales the losses are even greater..
Edit.... add in the travel expenses and the losses Continue to increase...
Also what is the advantage to canceling the season this early.... more data is gathered daily....
As Spock would say..... it’s not logical...
