From Athens -Friday Thoughts - 31-07-20

Good Day...

I sent my video post to Steve yesterday early evening for him to edit.. .... In the post I stated that there was no changes and the fall football season was moving forward..

I knew just as I said those words... changes would be coming forth.... ACC has gone to a all conference schedule ... with one non- conference game...
with the non-conference team having to come from the same state..... this puts Virginia out..... and Tech .... In..

The SEC Comish stated... Because of this rule... the Virginia- Georgia is ... Likely cancelled .... ChickfilA has two of its three Labor Day weekend games wiped out... me thinks... there will be much arm twisting ..... which will probably not work.....

As Stevedawg posted .... cases of Covid and being found on campus..... As I noted earlier .. pushback by from students and faculty remains strong .. for no students in classrooms.....

Today .... the 14 SEC Presidents are holding meetings to chart a way forward..... if the SEC goes to a 10 game conference schedule Georgia we add the Hogs and Miss State.... while Florida would get the Tide & TAMU ..... seems fair to me... to fill out schedule ... West teams on your schedule for he next two years would be pulled into 2020.

Hate to say it, but I don’t see a “full” season happening. They may get started but I expect infections to soar and games get called off.

If they do get a full season in the natty champ will have an * by their name. You know it very well could be the dawgs year. Would be an awful year to be champs...if it gets that far.

Big ncaa question, does the year count for eligibility if the season fizzles out?
