From Athens -Friday Thoughts - 03-07-20

Good Morning All,

Been a beastly hot week in Georgia....been hitting the trails early getting my steps In before the heat of the day arrives.....

Nobody needs to explain to me the value of Coach Sam Pittman was to our program....in a variety of ways.... outstanding person who knows the value of relationships needed to obtain a successful college football program...truly wish him well... except if and when the Hogs and Dawgs play....

That being said... don’t sleep on Coach Luke.... going back to when he showed up and coached our Sugar Bowl.... missing three starters..and only gave up two sacks to Baylor’s vaulted pass rush...both on Cade Mays trying to play left tackle.... he took control of our OL... high energy... a very good thing..

Word coming off campus is.. he has CKS... trust...and is acting as the perfect liaison between the HC and our new OC.... HC is focusing on defense..... I am sure he will keep a watchful eye on how the “O” is installed and developed.... however the vibes coming out of the BM Bldg
Are ...HC has high level of confidence in his coaching hires... and letting them coach... also a very good thing...

Yes I know that it doesn’t feel like a normal 4th of July holiday...

We are all learning what the new normal is.... and it seems to change daily.

If given the opportunity be an excellent time to share time with family and friends were possible....

Have fun on the grill Chief....

Man, I can’t wait for tomorrow to get here. Big breakfast, visit the folks, golf with buddy’s, pull the kids skiing at the lake, steaks on the grill. That’s just tomorrow!
