From Athens -Friday Thoughts - 08-05-20

Good Morning All,

I had to make trip to downtown Athens this afternoon. Traffic was extremely light but what was a surprise to see was the quad behind the Arch filled with a number of what I assumed were students enjoying the beautiful spring day relaxing sitting on the lawn….. they where broke apart in very small groups of less than 6 ….. social distancing was being practiced… a small reminder of what was the old normal….

Going forward as we work our way through the challenges ahead it will be interesting to see how we try to blend the past with the future…..

Never in my lifetime did I think that a pandemic would effect how we thought about the “Good Old Days “……

Pause and give thanks …..
