Good Morning All,
It started this past Monday morning…. Athens had a different hum and feel for a Monday before a home game in Sanford….
The early hype conversation at the local Chick-fil-a on Barnett Shoals Rd….it was more than a little intense…..
It has been awhile since Sanford has played home to a game between two top 10 teams……
Big enough deal for ESPN to send in “Game Day” to stir the hype…
IMHO…. This weekend shows exactly why the game with Florida needs to be played on campus….
Without question this will be a huge recruiting weekend with more 5 & 4 star recruits than you can count on two hands….
The boost to the local economy will be far reaching ….. a very good thing…..
It feels good but also a little strange to hear the talking heads speak so glowing about the Dawgs…..
Mix in the hype about the quality depth we have and I catch myself taking a deep breath …… as we all can remember not to long ago that wasn’t the case…..
It’s good that we are playing this game at home and it’s our HC’s fourth year…
From a coaching standpoint I feel CKS and staff will have our team ready to play and not be wrapped up in all the hype noise…
Like our run game vs their run “D”…. Ground and pound….
Feel our “OL” will wear their “D” out by mid third quarter
Jake will continue to have our “O” in good plays
Stay focused …..play to our standard….
No stupid penalties….get the win…. Shake
Their hand…. Shower …… ring the Chapel Bell Loud and long..
Pause and give thanks…..
Growl…. Thinking about doing a pork tenderloin ….low and slow…
