From Athens - Game Day Friday -1

Good Morning All,

Thoughts and prayers go out to all who are in harms way of hurricane Dorian….

Buc ….. thinking of you and yours …. Stay safe bro…

Game Day Friday #1…… happens but one time a year…. Need to savor and let roll gently of the lips…. Each one has been special over the past nine years…… this one is no different ….

Agree with HC….. you don’t know until you go play a game just how your team is going to respond ……

Good practice week doesn’t always translate to playing a good game…

Having said that …. I am less concerned with Vandy this year than prior years playing in Nashville……

Like the idea of playing a team that will push us more than non-D5 cupcake….

As the road turns more difficult come week 4 and ND at home…. I am sure ND wants to return the favor…..of beating us at home….

First wish….. no serious injuries

Second wish…. Take early control of game…..

Third wish…. Score often…and keep scoring …..pedal to the metal

Fourth wish…… play a bunch of people….. nothing like game experience….

Shake hands …. Shower and get back on the plane to Athens…

Let the Chapel Bell Ring…….

Pause and give thanks….

Enjoy the game….. making memories ….. take time to grow a new Dawg Fan….. share our rich history …..

Can’t tell you what a rush it was calling the Dawgs around a camp fire in Alaska…… I taught a bunch of people how to Sic’em Dawgs ….
