Last Friday in March and so far….. March weather has been tame compared to the recent past.
April may have the attitude to make up for it…. Hopefully not…
High of 76 and sunny for Saturday…. Yard chores calling…… dirt babies to be planted…..
Assorted Stuff…..
Question….. which assistant coach that has departed in the last three years would you want to have return to Athens ??
Same question …. Last 10 years …….
My answer …none …. Sticking with those we have on staff currently…. Reason is the chemistry they have between them…. Teaching and the
Insane high level of recruiting…. Which we know is what separates the very good from the also ran….. toss in he fact the all speak Kirby and do not have oversized egos……. A very good thing….
I can remember the gas pains we had about our OL in HC’s first year…. Rightly so….. however we had no idea just how big of a improvement year two would bring…
Keeping that in mind… I fast forward to this season year..four….
Many questions and uncertainties loom….
As I have posted earlier this year… this season for me is a transition….. both players and coaches…
Boat load of talent is on hand to compete for playing time…. Quality depth the likes we have never known….
Still the question...... can we take the final step to win a Natty…
Coaching and staying healthy are the keys for me…. Several here have shared similar thoughts…..
Truly believe our game with ND will provide a in-depth peek at were we are headed in 2019….
It will only be one game and it is early on in the season….. however as we have also learned is to remain in control off our destiny. is best.
Leaving to another team to provide help….. well it is risky as we also can attest too…
G-Game… under a month away…. Yes it is not real .. however …. Young pups want to show coaches and teammates that they can play.
Pause and give thanks……. Much to be thankful for….
Carson Beck has an arm that many QB's wish for . . . . Watching the group of videos below and youtube videos of the young pup explain why the gators have their "tails" in a "twist". Receivers are going to really like playing with Beck. I am convinced that he has the "tools" which include some solid foot work.
Watch the video above of Carson Beck and compare it to the video here of Trevor Lawrence. Two peas from the same pod? Look an awful lot alike in the way they run and the passes they throw to the different routes.
Smart and Company are doing their homework . . . . impressive.
Going to be hard to keep Carson Beck on the bench . . . . my opinion.
