We missed the snow & ice storm here in Athens.
Those in the Midwest not so lucky…. Obscene low temps…. Saturday is
Groundhog day ….. fingers crossed for early spring… not counting on the rodent helping…..
No question the older I get the more I dislike anything cold… other than beer…well OK…. ice cream….. I have turned into a candy butt wimp…. When it comes to dealing with cold weather……

Heads have been making points that with the success we have had with players in the NFL …. It’s become Great recruiting benefit….. I agree….
Over the years we have had discussions about how lack of talent was never the issue with our football program…. However recently we have come to clarify that statement in lieu of our last three recruiting cycles..
I agree it was more of the misuse of our talent and lacking coaching in the past as to why we were not more successful….
Several here have pointed out that they cannot remember our team being so deep with quality depth across all positions…. Yes we have thin spots… I am waiting until after February 6th for further comments…..
I can remember the frustration voiced about our special team play…or lack thereof as an example of how things have changed for the better…almost to the point of being taking for granted…..
The single act of being able to regularly have touchbacks on kickoffs….. a huge improvement…. Thank you “Goggles” and Coach Butler…..
Also shared here was …. For us to take the next step forward in the process…. we need to raise the level of coaching in all areas …..
Year four…. HC has a higher level of experience…. As to what the difference of being a HC rather than a DC….. 2019 will see Kirby put these past three years to good use…. I believe HC has a clear understanding as to what he needs to do better going forward….. he is not one to rest on pass successes……
