A day closer to "show time" in JAX.
Georgia and the gators are both listed in most top tens. This game in my opinion will end all hopes of reaching the final four for one of the two, maybe both. Not sure if some teams rated higher will face as many talented teams as UGA will in their remaining games. gators are tough defensively, could cause problems with their pass rush. Georgia has had some problems stopping the run, gators coached by Mullen/Grantham will surely test our run defense.
Many times games in the SEC are referred to as "Grown Men Games", have not a single doubt that this meeting in JAX will be a "Grown Man Game". Personally like it, and if it turns out to be a solid game for UGA, could cause some problems for those rating college football teams.
I try to stay away from looking too far ahead, however, Auburn can get testy, in spite of a poor head coach. Kentucky is solid and are coached by a rising star in the coaching ranks, Mark Stoops. The same Mark Stoops that helped build a winner in Tallahassee under then head coach Jimbo Fisher. Ogredawg said as soon as Stoops left FSU for Kentucky that football would change under his leadership. Truer words have never been spoken.
Stop with this . . . . going to be interesting to see how we game plan for the gators. Already know that Todd Grantham is sending a full house on almost every play. That is his MO.
Will add this . . . . there is much more to the game in JAX than "just" quarterback play. Bet that. Hoping to see some improvement in our punting game. Could be a deciding factor. FACT.
EDIT . . . .
Little bit off subject, however . . . . What Urban "LIAR" Meyer did to college football and especially for those of us that remember his "antics" while coaching the gators, seems the roost is filling up in the hen house.
