Ramblings….101

Camp started….. blur to first game…..

World is finding out what we here on this board have know for years,,,

Urban Liar is what is known as a sneaky snake,,,,hanging onto the edges that separate right and wrong…… didn’t start at OSU….. ESPN will find a microphone and place for him….. if OSU cuts him loose….

Following comments about recruiting are more about the methodology than about any single recruit…. Or more correctly the HC’s process…..

This past Sunday night after the “Reveal” ….aka…. 3 Dawg Night was nothing short of amazing…. It was an example of how a
staff of assistant coaches working together can take recruiting for Georgia football to levels that we didn’t think possible….

We have addressed areas we felt lacking from our previous coaching staff ….

IMHO after watching current staff enter their third cycle just how bad we recruited in the past…

Absolutely we have had some excellent players come to Athens prior to the arrival of CKS…. The question I have… was it because of successful recruiting or because they never wanted to play elsewhere…. Either because playing time…low level position competition…. Or growing up Georgia fan….. Anyone remember if we ever had a #1 recruiting cycle let alone in the HC’s second year……. Amazing….

Last week I asked the question…what position bears the most concern to replace for us to remain a top rated team….

My vote…… punter …… yup ….. there is that kicking thingy again needing it to win in the SEC….

We found a jewel last year in a graduate transfer….. unknown who is going to step up this year…..

Last Seasons punting excellent was show cased in our Rose Bowl win…

The very good thing is we have Kevin Butler sorting it out…. extremely thankful KB is back working with our kickers…. A very good thing….

Have posted this video and others showing Jake Camarda before, never hurts to take another look . . . . Hang time over 4 seconds, Special Team speed, makes for a long drive against our defense in many instances. Odds in our favor a high percentage of the time.

You are so right yd1, coaching staff that focuses on "detail". Part of the recently found "Process" . . . .

Thanks Buc..... yes I have concerns about maintaining our successful punting level..

However, again feel confident that Kevin will coach up our next punter..

Can only point to the transformation of “Hot Rod”....... kickoff touchbacks are a weapon..

Enjoyed us having fixed our woeful ST.....

There was a lot of chirping about Rod and his future at UGA. That was coming from outside the UGA coaching staff. Kirby once again proved himself and the "process" right. There was media chatter along with some family talk about Rod's scholarship. Some in the media using the language "hard head" when referring to Kirby. Smart will not be bullied. Think that the players see that as a plus in their head coach.

Absolutely Buc..... much media yada yada around Rod and lack of a scholarship...

But to his credit Rod stayed silent.....IMHO....this was Kevin Butler fathering him

Kevin knew what Rod needed to do to become worthy of a scholarship...

And to his credit Rod listened....put the work in to improve..... awesome story


Just flashed that Zimir is full Go for spring practice..... no restrictions....excellent

Agree players know..HC is real...
