From Athens- Friday Thoughts

Good Morning All,

There are many ramblings rolling around ….

Didn’t take Coach Crean long to move our hoop program forward..

Dawgs will make the trip to play in the 2019 Maui Invitational Basketball Tournament…… baby steps…gives him a year to recruit and get to know and develop our current players…. Don’t see this invite had we not changed coaches

Coaching them up applies to hoops and….. well in all sports…. imho

Big improvement…..thus far in are baseball team….. coming into the meat of the SEC schedule…. So far so good….. have five years invested in Coach Strickland….. time for a ROI…..

Heard our IPF called “House of Payne”……. Fitting in several ways….

We here know who to place our thanks with…. Which leads me ….

Even with CKS recruiting ability…. Would we be where we are recruiting had we not built the IPF….. hmmmmm..
Much has been posted here and elsewhere about the talent has always been here in Athens….. OK… but looking at the past two cycles and were we are tracking for “19”…… I am a newbie …but don’t see any three classes in the recent past matching what is taking place currently.

Process continues….. we now have quality depth…… now this depth needs game experience…. And coaching……..

Much is happening on Sanford Dr…. old girl is getting some major uplifts and improvement…. New scoreboard will be ready for G-game

Due to construction seating will be reduced to 78K and entrance will be by section passes….. lower seating sections going first and them moving upward from the field…. You can sit anywhere in that section….a food donation to local food bank is the only charge to get in…..4pm kickoff Saturday April 21st ….. ESPN will broadcast ..


Pause and give thanks….truly much to be thankful for…

Thinking of you Greg and your buds…… again time to thank those who have and are currently serving our country….. thanks to you and your family….

Sunday is Easter….. fulfillment of a promise…. Praise his name….
