Does the name John Currie ring any bells???
He was the AD at Tennessee that fired Butch Jones in November 2017.
This set into motion the unquestionable orgies of coaching searches and hire-nonhire in college sports history.
It passed funny early in the process and proceeded to be a huge embarrassment for the University of Tennessee.
The December first 2017 edition of the Chicago Tribune called it the worst coaching search in history.
That is…. Until our recent foray into replacing our fired basketball coach.
Currently we remain slightly behind the UT mess…but we have not named a replacement so the possibility remains for Scrooge &
Company to pass our fellow SEC school to reach new depths of incompetence….. stay tuned…. Saga continues…
I agree with Buc and Orgedawg….. that Scrooge was played like a fish who gulped a fat night crawler…. Sad….
Which leads me to the belief ….. that it was Devine intervention that we were able to successfully hire Kirby Smart…. Sure in hell imho wasn’t anything that Scrooge and gang did on their own….fact..
However….. a tiny voice is saying to me…. Someone behind the curtain pulled the plug to fire Fox…. We know Scrooge didn’t do this on his own.. always said Scrooge is here because…. That is the guy the Row wishes to have… however….. to much embarrassment for the university …Scrooge may be looking at having his tennis racket getting more use….. stranger things have happened in Athens…. Yes we can hope…
