From Athens- Game Day Sunday#2

Good Morning All,

I love reading a good mystery….. the more tangled the storyline the better…..

Even if the book is 600 plus pages….. and you are down to the last few dozen pages….. you try and savor the ending for as long as you can….

We started this wild ride back on Labor Day weekend…..

Filled with hopes and wishes for an improved season….

Much was said about areas that needed improvement…..

Many statements about…. What goals needed to be reached….

What I remember hearing and reading the most…. Winning the SEC East

And playing in a Tier One bowl game…… anything less we would take as

Not showing the improvement expected…..

Several have spoken about how they embraced Kirby for day One…..

Count me among those also….. however there also were a large number of fans who questioned why we didn’t hire a more experienced HC….. plus a diehard Richtbots…….

What was not…. Said was….. we would compete for a Natty in year two…..

As the season unwound…… we started to see just how special this team was…. Talent and coaching….. even after a cluster against Assburn we felt that this team could rebound and play better in the SECG…. Which it did…..

Special teams as been correctly noted as being a key…..

Feel we have a much stronger kicking game than the Tide…

Our PK…. Has saved our bacon several time this year… Hot Rod’s right foot may be the difference….

We have been able to run on every team this year…yes it took two games with Assburn….

Win by one or twenty one doesn’t matter…. Just win

I knew Kirb was the man... just kidding.

I’ll give some of yoos guys credit! Jumping on the Kirby wagon early....

To be honest I thought kirb was a dud when Nichols took uga to the wire. Uga had way higher recruits and a coaching staff making more than 10x the bad guys. Still got a tiny small teensy weeny amount of doubt. It’s prolly just the fat guy calling the plays in me head.
