Tomorrow marks the 76th anniversary of Pearl Harbor.....to many it’s a distant memory
To others it still a Day of Infamy...... as it was then ...and it is the same now ....many service
personnel are away from family serving our country..... so much has been given by so many to get
us to this ..Point in history....... much without the proper acknowledgement and thanks..
While the number grows smaller..there are those of us who do pause and give thanks...
For your service and sacrifice..... God Bless you and your families......

I had the priveledge to visit ph five or so years ago. We took a cruise hitting all of the islands, and Pearl Harbor was definitely the highlight of the trip.
You are ferried out to the site in little boats operated by us navy sailors. It was a very solemn feeling standing on the platform looking at the wreck. Diesel fuel still bubbled up from the wreck.

How could anyone forget? I just had come in from Sunday Mass
& was reading Dick Tracy in the Sunday comics when the news
came over the radio that PH had been attacked. A true day of Infamy that I'll never forget. God bless all that served including
my older brother, USN. I lost him last Feb.
As always, GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!! What's wrong with young people, 12-7 means nothing to them, hope they don't forget
9-11.

DawgDoc, education is just not doing its job if the young folks don't remember WW2.
Pearl Harbor, the Pacific and European theaters.
Midway, Iwo Jima, Normandy. Nazis. The list goes on.
Then Vietnam and the senseless 'wars' since WW2.
At least one week's worth of history lessons. Should be on the graduation test.

DawgDoc..
We understood because our parents, family, and teachers did......and it was instilled in us by them..
Patriotism is no longer taught or learned in public schools.... sadly
If a child is fortunate..... some older adult has taken the time and.....effort...to explain just why it’s
Such a important part of who we are....as a country...
As Lewis Grizzard said correctly.... American by birth...Southerner by the grace of God
In my case... adopted Southern... and that’s a blessing also....
Stay well
Go Dawgs
Sorry Boss Dawg... typing while you had already posted....like minds...
