From Athens-Friday Thoughts July 28

Good Morning All,

Been out and about this week around Athens and several surrounding towns...

I didn't need a calendar to know fall camp starts this coming Monday...

Cautious optimism..... past years heard louder bragging about how we were going to

Win the world........ yes many questions without apparent answers....yet....

We don't know what we don't know...... coaches begin searching for answers shortly....

Part of the change I have felt about the current coaching staff and players is....they have a

Better understanding about how to go about looking for answers.....because imo they recognize the

Problem more easily.....less wandering more applying solutions....... truly sense this team wants

To work at getting better and put some of the demons to rest that have followed us in recent sseasons...

Addressing what we do know... talent is not lacking...... have blend of youth and veterans.....

Thoughts of Coach Pruitt....... you don't get what you want in life....you get what you earn...

Feel strongly that while he is in Tuscaloosa...... his messages will find there way onto our practice field.....this year.....

Looking forward to hearing from our fellow Dawg posters in the coming days...

Like the fact that Kirby Smart is pulling no punches about the talent he recognizes having leadership qualities. Roquan Smith making the trip to Hoover, Alabama with two seniors representing Georgia, Chubb and Michel, makes a statement from where I sit. Serious leadership in my opinion has been a missing factor for too long.

We have spoke about the "Meeting " between Nick, Sony and our OC....

Just maybe it was the leadership seed being planted.... I think both came back to play for Coach Jim......they have bought in to Coach Smart's process...

Fall camp will be like nothing we have seen in recent past...... no coaches playing favorites..

No free passes given for playing time.....

Another Coach Pruitt gem.... practice hard...so playing games becomes easier ...... Coach Smart is dialed in on that also...

Leadership seed had spread to defense....see it in #7.... young boy....grown into man in one season.. understanding it's. We. And not Me...


Itchy ......really getting antsy........ believe fun factor is heading back to Athens

DB's going to love playing behind this group.......need to get young pups experience also
