Monday Thought . . . .

Both of you guys, yankeedawg1 and ogredawg have been balls to the wall on the offensive line forever. DAWGtm, also.

Have a feeling that we are going to get a 5* offensive lineman that everyone in the country wants.

There is a reason that a coach like Sam Pittman had the offensive line at Arkansas come to his home and try to get him to remain. Realize that I have said this more than once. Simple math to many of us . . . . we have Jacob Eason on board because of his golden arm, yes, more than that . . . . however Eason was not recruited to Georgia for his ability to run the football. Jacob Eason was not "hired" to throw bubble passes, shout outs and over the middle to get first downs, solely. That "golden arm" needs protection and receivers that can get open. Twenty yard passes (in the air) change even the "best" defensive coordinators plans on Saturdays. Me thinks. As you said ogredawg, Eason at some point will get "help".

DAWGtm, remember some of your first posts on Dawgs.com, you mentioned the offensive line, best I remember, can go back and look. No need to.

One thing that I am really hoping will happen is for Kirby Smart to keep Coach James Coley in Athens. He is our "solid link" to South Florida recruiting. Actually the entire State of Florida. Recruiting in Florida is becoming a "must" now that Strong, Davis and Kiffin have been added to the coaches that will "live" in the Sunshine State and we know what that means.

Truth be told . . . . would love to see Coach James Coley calling the offensive plays. I try hard to stay away from that kind of "chatter", do know that Coach Coley is better than good. JC will not remain as a receiver coach for too long, bet that. JC knows what we have with Eason and Fromm, also knows how to get the best out of receivers to make quarterbacks lives productive.

College football has grown leaps and bounds since the SEC introduced a playoff format. Next of course was the National Championship setup. Have said before, several times, would like to see the National Championship format at eight (8) teams as the final setup. Have also said this . . . . NFL does not want to see that happen . . . . College football would overtake the NFL and make the game of football more to the liking of folks like me. Sure, it is going to lead to money distribution without being a professional sport, that suits me also because at this point I do not think that College Football is AMATEUR FOOTBALL.

Amateur is one who engages in a pursuit, study, science or sport as a pastime, rather than as a profession.

Throw that out for anyone that agrees or disagrees.

Say again . . . . At this point, give me EIGHT (8) College Teams to play for the Natty.

It all starts in the trenches just like building a house a solid foundation is a must. IPF almost complete big lineman headed to the classic city. Looking for more intensity starting with the bowl game last time we were in Memphis saw a team that was deflated and let a team that had less talent but was highly motivated beat them. Don't want to see that this year. Give the seniors a little bit of the time then put the pups in to see who wants to start next season.

First ten minutes of this podcast really "spot on". Brandon Adams continues to get my attention.

Will continue to listen to whether or not we are all in line with the Smart hiring . . . . Damn sure like some that Kirby has hired. Finally beginning to see some "light" at the "end of the tunnel".

This type of recruiting on the offensive line . . . . running backs, quarterbacks, tight ends, wide receivers, slot receivers, changes the game in Athens . . . . or . . . . it "better".
