Goff was here for 6 years.
Maybe we can at least give Kirby 2.
Fire HC's after 1 season with all of our holes and this becomes a much less desirable job for someone in demand and who has experience.
God Bless and Go Dawgs

Said hiring Kirby was a mistake. Never said fire him that will come in due time, now if I remember correctly I did say fire the AD and like now....lol and Goff stayed 4 years to long

Kirby has a six year contract.
www.dawgnation.com/football/team-news/sm...ary-details-released
He will not be fired for at least four years barring catastrophic failure the next few years. Heck, things will get better if he recruits.
Big oc is not going anywhere either for at least another year. He has a three year contract I believe. Hell, he is in his mid 50s. Kirby knew what he was getting with him. It's like a pro team cutting a first round draft pick after one year. Makes someone who picked him look pretty stoopid. Usually don't happen after year one.

Just noticed Kirby gets a 50k bonus for playing in the Birmingham or independence bowl. With a 3.7 million annual salary I'd told my agent we don't need that nugget in the fine print.

Fans are always really generous with athletes', coaches' and entertainers' money.
Like when they think a player should give a "hometown discount" in the millions, maybe tens of millions, of dollars.

This quote has me shaking my head
“I don’t want anybody to think that we’re blaming the offensive line,” Smart said. “Do we think we’ve got to play better there? Yeah. They have played well sometimes. We just haven’t done it with a level of consistency. We’ve got to help them but what we call and what we do scheme-wise.”
I for one was not on the bandwagon that some were about being tired of Kirby blaming "the kids" for the poor play. I said good for him - call em out.
Let's cut the crap here. Call a spade a spade Kirby. The O-Line sucks. It sucks in a way that is beyond suck. In fact, suck would be an improvement from where the offensive line is right now. You don't want anyone to think that we're blaming the offensive line? Who is we? Don't count me in that "we" because I sure am blaming the o-line. Just why aren't we blaming the o-line? What exactly have they done even remotely well this year that would relieve them from the burden of blame? Our star running back, a Heisman prospect before the season, hasn't had a 100 yard game since game 1. Florida held us to 21, yes 2-1 rushing yards. Our QB gets no protection and runs for his life before he lines his fingers to the laces at the snap. Our line can't open holes, it can't get a jump, and it certainly can't push back.
There is something deeply wrong here with the play of the line. Did Sam Pittman forget how to coach a line? Please. I think not. So what exactly is going on? At some point, it IS the players. And no, it's not all them, but it's a lot them. There I said it. Disagree with me if you want. No worries.
Kirby, don't p--s down my neck and tell me its raining outside. Come on buddy. We can do a little better than that. Just tell it like it is - I liked you a lot better when you were shooting us straight.
