From Athens- Friday Thoughts

Again to repeat myself….words can’t express my profound thanks for the prayers and thoughts that continued from my fellow dawgs.com family this week… your condolences on my wife’s passing have been most meaningful…

We will not sign every recruit that we offer… DR falls into the same category as TN…. Good solid kid that just found a comfort factor elsewhere …. Hug them wish the well and much success in life..

It is a simple matter with me…. If you want to play ball for Georgia… welcome to Athens….if you are going yank our chain and play the recruiting shuffle…. Stop at the city limits…. Do us and yourself a

favor…take your head case elsewhere…please
NC…rehab is like a weather report…. It seem like it changes every 20 minutes …. All just gum flapping at this point in time…. See how much work he gets in fall camp…. That will be a clue for me as to what his chances of playing in first game…. Backups are not chopped liver….mix in a “O” that has a huge chip on their shoulder….. Run game is going to be more than just fine…having said that it is no lie that a healthy NC moves the level of play way up… and…. Quality depth….fresh legs for the fourth quarter…..

Much different feeling this year over last about not naming a starting QB before fall camp is well under way.

HC has said he would play two QB’s if that was required. Made the comment about switching if one guy didn’t make plays… thinking back to last year’s UF game…. Not much sense rehashing that
again….something about a dead horse…. HC as a plan…..

Update on the mindset of the locals… conversation is still about the G game attendance ….. nobody who I have spoken with saw the 93k happening… nice thought but our fan base would rather not make the effort…. Well… many eyes were opened…. I truly believe our AD and the row were surprised at it being a capacity plus crowd… bet the bean counters were giddy….would not be surprised to see a increase in season ticket sales…. Unless we stumble badly … UT game is going to be insane… more than likely a night game.. with a small amount of payback that needs to be dealt …

YD1, been away for a couple weeks. My condolences on your wife's passing.

KS in town has me feeling like a weight has been lifted from my chest----I no longer worry when we don't get one player like DR.

The picture is much bigger with KS at the helm. We will get more than enough of talent. With about 1 month to recruit, he landed more 5 stars than UGA had ever landed before.

Wait till he has a year or two under his belt. We will land 3-5 a year now. CMR was good for 1 a year.
