I know I'm reading way too much into this article. But does anyone get the sense that Poole MAY be the type player who ends up running his mouth too much once he gets to college?

Nothing in particular, just a sense I get. He mentions "if all goes well" 2 players will leave UF giving him a better chance to start. Sounds a little too "worrying only about himself" for my tastes.

He says coach Tucker basically does not like the DB's he has now. That is kinda a minor shot at the current players who may be his future teammates.

I don't know, just seems to me like the kind of guy who could cause problems in the locker room one day. Hope I'm wrong, but I get a sense the kid may be "all about me".
I'm also not saying this is a bad young man. Not at all. Just worrying about the fit.

Here is the article:

BulldogShannon, if Poole said the following . . . .

He says coach Tucker basically does not like the DB's he has now. That is kinda a minor shot at the current players who may be his future teammates.

It would be hard for me to believe that Coach Tucker said anything close to that. While I don't ante up for the pay to read sites, I am with you if all of that was said.

Never would Coach Smart allow that kind of recruiting talk from any of his staff, regardless of "business card title".

Mentioned to yankeedawg1 yesterday that I had met with a couple of folks that are very much involved in college football. Greg played at UGA and served in the USMC. Now helping others at the Viera VA. High school ball Lowndes County.

Chatted with Tre Nixon's mother yesterday, also a nurse at the Viera VA. I worked hard to get Tre to Athens, ended up at Ole Miss. UGA was his choice, then Mom said you have one more visit to Ole Miss, which was his second, encouraged him to take it, do not make a mistake in your choice of universities.

Ends up the last visit by Tre to Ole Miss was the deciding factor.

Speaking with his Mom, asked her about the process. She said that several schools jumped all over Tre when Ole Miss had some problems with Tunsil and others. Phone calls really beating up Ole Miss.

Mom said that UGA did none of that. She and Tre were proud of the way UGA handled his choice. UGA said to Tre, if you have any problems we are here, nothing nasty.

Mom asked me if I still backed Tre. Said for sure, he is an outstanding young man/athlete. We both understand that I am on one side of the fence and you on the other when we face off with Ole Miss this year.

Just for information . . . . Greg and Mom both work hard to help the Vets. Work in the same area and accomplish much.

Good to know Buc. I'm just hoping the young man was just talking to be talking. Hope it isn't an everyday thing.

Shannon, have to be honest with myself and you . . . . have had similar feelings.

This I know . . . . with the change in leadership, problems of the past will occur less often.

While it certainly takes commitment from the players, its a responsibility on the same level with the coaches and others surrounding our program.

Takes a village, right . . . .
