Spent some time over the past few days going through a lot of the Jim Harbaugh chatter.
Reading many comments to articles concerning Harbaugh. Again the media looking for “clicks”. The business they are in, understanding football is not their prime reason for being hired by different media outlets. Many and probably most of the cub reporters have never had shoulder pads, thigh pads, hip pads or any type of football gear on.
Some, not all of the media boys have a Journalism Degree or . . . . ?
Back to Jim Harbaugh. Could care less about him coming to the State of Georgia or any of the States below the Mason/Dixon. This is what Harbaugh understands and is following what urban meyer did in a different way. urban meyer worked his way into the gator group in Gainesville, Florida. urban worked hard, learning all he could to take back to Ohio State. Harbaugh realizes that he has to “beat” Ohio State, so . . . . have to get players that are capable of doing just that.
For the bleeding hearts that do not understand what is going on, it is simple actually. Kirby Smart has his hand in the dirt (maybe I should say CLAY) and that will make it increasingly difficult for urban meyer and Jim Harbaugh to get players, especially players from Georgia and Alabama. Also include Jim McElwain in that comment. Gators and Seminoles are not patsies when it comes to recruiting.
What Jim Harbaugh is doing is simple . . . . Taking a different approach than urban meyer did. meyer is a liar, ran a nasty program, then he became “ill” for a short period, worked with ESPN until he was “well” and moved into his home in Ohio that was purchased while he was not feeling well and supposedly not knowing he would be the next Ohio State head coach.
Comes down to this for me . . . . Welcome Jim Harbaugh, you along with urban meyer are close to finding out that some coaches down this way understand what you are doing, and the fences are growing larger and higher making it more difficult after the first or second try.
Kirby Smart, Nick Saban, Jim McElwain and others are going to prove some things to the Big (?). Football matters down our way.
