Going to repeat myself for this reason . . . . know what I am posting and the reason why.

This man is just as important to UGA Football as every assistant hired.

Coach Beard was the perfect replacement for BMac. Someone had to replace McClendon with the "needed" . . . . "talent".

Sometimes I think that Bulldog fans do not look deep enough into what it takes to move forward. That also applies to the media.

Coach Beard will be put on a pedestal down the road. Bank on that.

One figure that I keep in mind is the minimum/maximum number of players that can be recruited and signed each year.

There has been a lot of "stuff" in the press that tells anyone that will read that Nick Saban plays in the "Gray Area". To those I ask this . . . . why not? Are you so wrapped up in the Richt system of "failure" that so many head coaches are?

Check your last NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. Past UGA, many that have never and never will be as "clean as Mark Richt".

Keep a close eye on the "U", changes are underway. Fact.

Edit . . . . SouthernDawg, what do you hear? Plantation, Florida and every high school in South Florida knows what UGA Football means on the collegiate level. That started with . . . . Bryan McClendon, and he is a "presence". Did not start with Mark Richt. Fact. Muschamp made a great hire when he offered BMAC. Love the guy (BMAC). Anyone find it interesting that BMAC did not follow Mark Richt to Miami?

Going to be a lot of stories in the next 1 or 2 seasons about football in the South. Michigan moving South to find football players . . . . Some head coaches do not need 15 years to "understand".

Just a word about the AJ transfer.


AJ had zero... ZERO desire to follow Mark Richt to Miami.

Smart's idea was to set a precedent about UGA football. The putting in of Miami on the list of schools AJ can't transfer to is just a signal to future recruits. You don't come to UGA to follow a coach.

AJ never had any desire to follow the coach that never give him a chance.
