Earlier in this thread posted a practice video of Mark Richt at the “U”.

Remembering what our former coach said when first hired by Miami . . . . Going to be more involved with football practice.

Also remember how Pruitt brought an upscale practice to Georgia. That had not been the case prior to the Alabama Gang moving to Athens. Lack of results in big games proves that out.

Pruitt, Sherrer and others turned Georgia practices upside down, and the results were beginning to appear.

Video in post #73187 of this thread shows our previous head coach performing for the camera. Remembering the word “Carney”.

Nick Saban changed the way football is being played in the SEC. Those like Smart and Pruitt and many others listened and now we see just how valuable a head coach can be. No sleep walking on the sidelines on Saturdays when being coached by a Saban disciple.

Below is a video of Kirby Smart and his way of coaching UGA Football. Much the same as Pruitt did. Kirby said that there will be changes in the way Pruitt called the game, also mentioned that would only amount to somewhere around 50%. Smart and Pruitt were cut from the same cloth and that has changed the way college football is practiced and played in Athens.

Edit: Pruitt returning to Tuscaloosa speaks volumes about who Saban wanted when Kirby left. Does not have to change a lot, Nick Saban continues to impress "me". Still not sure about the "WE" stuff that Pouty presented . . . . again.

Thanks again averagedawg. Reading the thread again, had to copy what you said. Truth.

Not only do Georgia fans owe Coach Pruitt a big Thank You, so does Richt.
Whether he knows it or not.
Without Jeremy Pruitt there would be no Kirby Smart.

yd1, did not mean to fill the BPS up with what has followed on my part.

Said sometime back that I am not going to stand by and have those that still have problems with the release of Mark Richt, having only their say heard. My honest feeling is that "they" are now in the minority. DawgDoc notice I did not refer to the "others" using the same terminology as I have since the release of Mark Richt. Probably will use the term again at some point.

averagedawg's post has me reflecting this Saturday morning about what Pruitt and Company meant to UGA Football.

Anyone that thinks Georgia will remain on the same path that "WE" were on prior to the hiring of Kirby Smart and Company, let's get the money on the table, covering all bets.

Just how big was the Smart/McGarity decision to change a rule recently? When I think about the change, proves to me that we have a "stand up guy in Kirby Smart". That was missing under the prior head coach. Remembering Richt going mute when Pruitt stepped up and said if you want to win, build the Indoor Practice Facility.

Edit: Difficult finding "action shots" of the previous head coach. FACT.

Edit #2: Richt watching Pruitt for "coaching tips" . . . . You think? I think. Notice the "hands on the hips"? Just asking.

Too many of the sites/media in my opinion don't look closely enough at what is happening in Athens, and quite frankly every person that makes up the staff that Kirby Smart has put together.

Living in the State of Florida and caring deeply about UGA, have my eyes on more than “clicks”. Already put my time in, years ago.

Said a couple of times that Dawgs.com and the membership are closer to the truth than many that I read everyday. Truth as I see it.

Kevin Beard is going to mean so much to “our” program. Kevin is deeply rooted in South Florida football. Close connections with many, close to all of the high school coaches in the area. Smart move by Kirby to ask Kevin to come on board. Kevin was a very good college football player, understands not only the x's and o's, incredible recruiter. Kevin Beard reminds me so much of Bryan
McClendon (BMAC) now with the Gamecocks. Still have much respect for BMAC. Also know the value of Kevin Beard.

James Coley. Same can be said about Coley. Deeply rooted in South Florida football, more than that, understands the game and . . . . high school players relate to Coley. Both Coley and Beard, will prove to be much more than is represented by some that truly do not understand “WE” when discussing UGA Football. Dufus, at best.

Edit: SouthernDawg meant to say this several "speeches" before. I read your last post and it was in my opinion, much like what I had to say in this thread. Hope your stay in your home state went well. I sincerely hope that you continue to put some time on this site.

stevedawg, you asked about the Kirby Smart photo being a part of the entry.

You have my vote. Trying real hard to turn some heads about the things that sadlerdawg, kentdaddy, NC_Dawg and others have had to say about change. Not to forget Chief Growl, and others, the list is much longer than it was a few short years back.
