DAWGtm, you stole my thoughts . . . .

yd1, continuing examples of talented players wearing the Red and Black and moving on to the NFL and quite frankly, being recognized for the talent they have.
Want to add this . . . . Ron Courson, little ever said by the media about this man. Since 1995 he has been a solid contributor to the University of Georgia and the young folks, both male and female that have continued on fulfilling their dreams because Courson was all about UGA.
wlayton, probably knows a lot about Ron Courson, has ties to Waycross, Georgia. wlayton's stomping grounds once upon a time.

EDIT: Meant to add this. Read the article, Courson says full recovery expected.
Anyone watch Nick Chubb on the treadmill recently?
Thank you Ron Courson. We recognize what you have done for so "many" young folks in Athens . . . . and elsewhere.

Been around UGA Football for a while, cannot remember the media posting the below "stuff" so quickly, especially when players have graduated.
Don't agree with this type of "chatter".
I know this . . . . don't give a spit who has a scholarship to play the game in Athens . . . . Head Coach Kirby Smart and Company will determine who starts, plays or . . . . whatever.
If Carter is that talented, this group of coaches will put him into a position to help the "team", not some of the "stuff" he said right after arriving on campus. Would not surprise me to see a "lot of surprises" the first year with Smart and Company running the show. And . . . . they (coaches) will surprise many. Yes, that includes this old fart/goat.
Past is past folks. Those that continue down the path of the "bleeding hearts" . . . . won't be too long and you folks will tell all of us how you were on board from the "beginning".

Anyone believe that "one man" can change "years" of absent minded coaching?
If you read Dawgs.com and have nothing to say about that question . . . .
This is why change was needed. Mark Richt did not understand "team building". Folks in South Florida are beginning to wonder about whether or not the "U" will improve over what they have put up with for a long time.
Allow me this . . . .
It was never about "player talent", it has been about "coaching" for more years than I can remember. That my Brothers is a long time.
We can be recognized as "Running Back U", but what does that have to say about offensive lines?
What does that have to say about Head Coaching mistakes in critical times?
Some that I am close to in South Florida ask me questions. I say this to them, (some of them) not only this, but read Dawgs.com. and look back over years of "wishing" that somehow things on the football field will change.
Same chatter comes from those that I have a lot of respect for . . . . It is always about number of wins over fifteen years. Many times I say this . . . . "How many years are you at the 'U' willing to support the four (4) million dollar man? Silence.
Welcome home Kirby Smart.
