Go Dawgs!
Monday - Taking a Look at the ROW was created by yankeedawg1
Just had a thought...yes I know it does not happen often
We really never had a handle on who makes up the Row
So..... we don't know when one dies or become unable
To hold their place due to illness... Which means
We also don't know who takes their place other than that
They are wealthy...and fund the university athletic department.....
So...just maybe we have some younger blood who wants
To field winners and..... Make large sums of money...
Go Dawgs

yankeedawg1, was going to open this issue up after the 2015 Season was finished. Guess the 2015 Season ended in JAX.
Dawgs.com was the "one" site that raised the issue of IMG and other influences on Georgia football. Along with others.
Many times this type conversation falls by the wayside in general football conversation. It is a very important issue to be aware of.
yd1 you said . . . .

Below is a video that some might want to watch. I have more later on.

In an effort to gain more power and money our Row has
Climbed into bed with a number of partners...
And.... They have their hands out looking to take more
As time passes the look and feel of major college sports
Grows closer to that of the professional game....
The lines of difference are becoming blurred...
No going back.... Sadly....the old days are just that...
Go Dawgs
Edit.... Maybe this needed to be a new thread but IMO
It all falls in the same bucket....this fits with our discussion
Of too many bowl games.....again follow the money..

To understand where money flows "to and from" the Row you have to look at media contracts and consultants.
IMG, originally known as the International Management Group , is a global sports, other events and talent management company headquartered in New York City.
The behind the scenes money guys from IMG have an 'off campus' office in Athens where they can discuss this business privately through 'consultants'. No open records trail to trace. But the relationships are mostly documented.
You can check out their college network here.
Now I will have to go into witness protection. CU later.

Want to know how deep IMG is into the program?
Looking at the IMG website I learned the band Brad Paisley is going to be appearing at, get this, "IMG Schools". They call the colleges they sign up "IMG Schools".
Marketing is driving everything to sell apparel and entertainment products. It IS their business. They are good at it and have a pot as big as Disney. Homogenized.
UGA is described as "ONE OF THEIR PROPERTIES" On the IMG Website.
Here is what they say:
University of Georgia
IMG College Client since 2005
Corporate partner program, at-event impact, facility signage, scoreboard and other display signage, corporate hospitality rights, publications (game programs, annual programs and game day publications: football, men's basketball, women's basketball, gymnastics, baseball, fan guides, Olympic sport cards), promotional schedule cards, promotional schedule posters, new media/digital rights, television and radio.

Athens, GA 30605
On a pretty day it is an one quarter mile stroll from the UGA presdient office to the IMG office.
Just sayin... It is possible for a Head Coach to also be an IMG property. Bobo went to an non IMG school, Colorado, Richt went to an IMG school, Miami.
Back into protection. I have to go deep this time. Somebody take the wheel while I make my get away.
