It isn't often that I get/need the opportunity to trash talk the Tacky Toes from Chapel Hill, but given that they will be our first opponent in 2016, last night was a delight! Having placed roots in the western foothills of this round-ball driven State since 1991, I've endured the endless ranting of the baby blue flatlanders when casting a disparaging eye upon our less than adept bball program. Then came the 2015 season and UNC's slow but methodical advancement into the Top 10. Cocky doesn't remotely begin to explain the non-sense I've heard as they spiraled up, while we circled the drain.......Until last night,.......
I do not intend to mention by name, He Who Has Been Ex-Communicated, for that chapter has thankfully been closed! I will, however, note that Baylor, who'd lost their first AND second string QB's, leading rusher and starting wide out, not only whipped the #10 team, but demoralized them!....645 yards on the ground, 756 total combined in offensive production with BACK-UP'S......That's coaching, that's motivation, that's winning for the good of the program and the fans because that's what this is about!......And yes,.....that's what we've not seen in the Classic City in many, MANY years!
Congrats to Baylor for an impressive win that I will mention often throughout the off-season.
