sadlerdawg, I pulled one paragraph from the article. "Stuff" that bothers me and maybe should not.

Understand the rules are what they are. However, in my opinion it is the "Group" again letting all of us know that "They" are in "control". Keep saying this, there needs to be changes above the head coach and the athletic director.

Kirby Smart will officially become Georgia’s head coach early Sunday afternoon. The University announced that it will hold a telephonic meeting with the executive committee of the UGA Athletic Association board of directors at 12:30 p.m. for the purpose of “discussion and deliberation of the hiring and compensation of a public employee .”

Shannon, know that Mark Hocke had a successful first year in Athens. Did work for Scott Cochran in Tuscaloosa for several years, wonder if that is in the works?

Still a lot of mystery surrounding the Kirby Smart hiring, to be expected. End result of the "assistants" remaining will be big news, especially for the beat writers and other social media.

Either way, just another piece of Alabama moving to Georgia.

One more thing . . . . looking forward to the press conferences both before and during the 2016 Season in Athens.

Wonder if those with their butts in the seats at Butts-Mehre will be as easy going with Kirby Smart as they were with Mark Richt?

Stuff I think about.

EDIT: Have always liked listening and reading what Radi Nebolsi had to say.

Here are a few OC candidates to consider per Dawgnation:

Houston offensive coordinator Major Applewhite. The former Texas quarterback and coach directed a Cougars’ offense that averaged 40.6 points and 486 yards per game. Houston is 12-1 this season and 7-1 in the American Athletic Conference.
Clemson co-offensive coordinator Tony Elliott. Elliott shares coordination duties with Geoff Scott (son of Brad) but is the primary play-caller in the arrangement. The Tigers lead the ACC in total offense (510.6 ypg) and averaged 38.5 points per game.
Western Kentucky offensive coordinator Tyson Helton. Helton coordinated an offense that led Conference USA in scoring (44.2 ppg) and total offense (519.8 ypg). The Hilltoppers beat Southern Miss 45-28 to win the league championship.
Alabama wide receivers coach Billy Napier. Billy Napier is in his third season on the Alabama coaching staff as wide receivers coach. Napier joined the Crimson Tide staff after serving as the assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach at Colorado State in 2012 for former Tide offensive coordinator Jim McElwain.

No nothing about Applewhite's philosophy at Houston but loved himas a QB at Texas---a fiery competitor. Texas hosed him when "golden boy" Chris Simms came in and was given the job.

Seems like the Napier selection would be good for Eason?

Heltom threw a little too much for my tastes:):)

sadlerdawg, really like the fact that Kirby made a move to sit and chat with the Cleveland family. The kind of thing that often happens in Tuscaloosa, go after the big linemen.

*******************************************************************************

He’s already gotten in touch with a few of UGA most vital recruiting targets. Derek Cleveland, the father of UGA offensive line commitment Ben Cleveland, told DawgNation that Smart has already made a trip to Stephens County in Toccoa for a visit.

Changes in recruiting by the new head coach that I appreciate. Flash and dash do not happen without offensive and defensive linemen.
