Well... UGA is able to parlay 2 Kentucky turnovers and a botched play with a freshman WR at QB into it's first TD in over 160 plays.
AD McGarity announces he's pleased with direction of the program, and offers Mark Richt a 2 year extension.

He is gone.
Richt should be.
Beating Kentucky at Sanford Stadium does not make one a "keeper".
This stat was mentioned yesterday and I found it hard to believe, but it completely checked out:
Richt versus SEC Teams that had better than .500 records in the conference since 2005:
5-21.
Another stat:
UGA versus top 25 teams since 2010:
10-17.
Alabama versus top 25 teams since 2010:
25-10.
Reason enough to let go of the past.
kentdaddy was right, all those years ago, even while we were all drunk from the glory of whipping Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl, he said "Fire Richt".

Not knocking on Godwin running it with Michel but why the F do we run it with Lambert spread out wide??? Run it with Bauta and Michel and run Godwin across in motion. And with Bauta you have the option to keep it and dump pass all day. Bauta once again getting a good ole slap in the face from our piss poor HC.
Text to my son after the first couple of possessions:
"They could run these wildcat plays with Bauta without having to have the qb line up wide.
Another dropped pass another penalty."
Great minds...

and why couldn't Marshall get more than 3 carries in a game prior to today. We can go on and on.
I'm glad we won for sure, but it doesn't matter to me regarding Richt. Offense was okay only because of just being able to out muscle Kentucky and run. QB play was bad. ST's play was bad again.... How in the hell we could screw up ANOTHER pooch kick? Missed FG..
Meanwhile Vanderbilt goes to Gainseville and is almost able to pull off the upset.
We beat Kentucky... yay.
Richt still needs to go.

Go 'dawgs!
Pitched a shutout except for a short-field field goal thanks to a turnover. Not bad, even against Kentucky. Safe to say, the defense isn't the problem in Athens.
