Good Morning All,

Non-football business first

September 11, 2001…….. Never Forget…..sadly many have….many more will…… Freedom is not Free…..

Rain returned to Athens on Tuesday. Pop up showers called for daily in the afternoon. No trips to Suwannee yet……

We learned that HM was fugal when it came to buying ice cream for his OL……. GL is not and made the effort to acknowledge his uglies….good move….as AM can attest too.

Game Day Friday # 2

Nut and bolts….. We win…. I think we have no problem covering spread… score again pretty much what we want…see the possibility that defense puts points up…. ST….. Vandy’s punter best get it off quick… I see out punt coverage team causing problems all season ….with blocks and hurries for opposing punters…Love it…..

Agree we will see a few added wrinkles on offense and defense ….need to run plays in a game to work out any kinks…..give the HBC something to ponder……

Good game for first SEC game and on the road…..more butterflies to chase away..

No question… the 2013 messy was discussed and pointed to….not to sleep on the Dores….

And……the very best thing….no Penny Wagges….all season…sweet

DWS…..no injuires….more of KM and a few touches for AJ……

Now some news from the back of the food truck…

Read Seth Emerson’s Tuesday practice report….. he reported that he noticed CRS doing something that CWF or CTS did not do…

The two’s on the OL are worked and rotated with the One’s during game plan practices….just like the actual game….. Seems simple but to me it is an example of attention to detail….or….depth building…. 101…

Want to see improvement…. No steps backwards….GL more of the same…..two TE sets….don’t look ahead to next week and the chickens….

As I posted earlier…..swiftly take care of our business…..pack up and get out of Dodge…..

3:30pm start will make for a longer tailgate…..have to pace myself…

DWS… Georgia enjoyed the treat parade last Saturday…. Cut them in half…. Heard some minor growling….made up with a bonus as game was called

early…… all is good… she now takes a pregame nap…. Smart dog……..

Pause and give thanks

Have a great weekend and a safe week

As always……”Go Dawgs” !!!

yankeedawg1, see where the Georgia/Vandy game is being billed a coaching contest between Brian Schottenheimer and Derek Mason.

Apparently Mason is going to be heavily involved in calling the defensive side of the ball.

Like it when those making the big bucks step up and try to prove their worth. Mason in my opinion is a very smart person and comes to Vanderbilt with a vast amount of football knowledge.

Mason not unlike Pruitt, came into a situation that needed some "guidance".

Much has happened since 9/11 in New York. What happened there effected the entire country. Remember the flags being pulled out and placed on cars. Never forget.

I learned close to nothing last weekend, and I expect to learn very little this weekend. But I knew that months ago.

What I learned last Saturday:

1. Greyson Lambert is 6' 5" tall, and his passes can still get batted down at the line. By ULM. I'm concerned. He can make throws, no doubt. The question is - can he make throws against GREAT defensive backs when he HAS to? Not sure about that, and probably won't know for a while.

2. We have receivers. Godwin is as good as advertised. MM, when healthy, is as good as having a professional receiver. Again, how good they'll be against D1 DBs remains to be seen, but so far not bad. We're also stacked at TE.

3. Our secondary needs help. Sure, they did okay MOST of the game, but for two drives it was as if they either gave up or just flat got beat. My guess/hope is that up 35-0, they let down. But even that should NEVER, EVER happen. Hopefully that gets fixed.

Even with that, I learned very, very little and expect to learn next to nothing this weekend. The Dandies got beat by the Hill Toppers in their opening "cup cake" game. I don't look for UGA to be even challenged. I want to see Turman get some carries, and hopefully we can get KM some real yards - he is all that. It'll be good to see IM get in the game. Loved the spreading of the ball last week - keep that up. Only 16 carries for The Man means far less chance of injury - good for durability.

Have been on board with Brandon Kublanow since his high school recruiting began.

Kublanow has that "nattiness" that is often used to describe offensive linemen. He has played the part well since arriving in Athens.

thriller seems he has a "distaste" for the same team that you have on occasion referred to.

The young pup that lines up to Kublanow's left also has that "nasty thing" in his system. Isaiah Wynn.

Offensive line is going to need some folks to step up big time in 2016, maybe before them if injuries occur.

Always good to hear about UGA players doing well in the NFL. David Andrews appears to have a bright future in the NFL. High praise coming from his quarterback.

Speaks well of Coach Will Friend and his handling of "Boss" during his stay in Athens.

Also believe that Rob Sale will continue along the same lines as Will Friend. Some of the current players say that Sales is big on fundamentals. Going to be interesting to see what the final 2016 recruiting of offensive linemen looks like.
