There seems to be a consensus that the first game will be an extension of pre-season practice. Only change is they will be playing another team. Rotate to let everyone play is a real game. See how things flow from what you did in practice.

I like the 'petal to the metal' and see where see goes strategy. After the slaughter, in the third quarter, let a few others go in for practice.

In other words... "Let the big Dawg eat".

I have said that I have high hopes for Shakenneth Williams dating back to this young man signing on with us. Picked the paragraph below from the AJC.

On the plus side, sophomore Shakenneth Williams keeps making solid catches while we’re out there. He seems in good position to join Mitchell and Isaiah McKenzie in the top tier, especially with Godwin on the mend.

Sometimes we get a feeling about a player prior to seeing him perform on Saturdays. The above paragraph is not about hoping a player practices well or plays well in high school. What Skanenneth Williams is doing is performing in Athens. Really like him.

Another story out there is the Muschamp Auburn defense kicking the spit out of the Malzahn offense in camp. I am one of those that believes Gus and his offense were a surprise for a short time. Appears that he is now going to try more of the pro style offense.

Really like what Aaron Davis had to say about "understanding more and playing better on the defensive side of the ball". Couple of hiccups in 2014, as has been said on this board . . . . 2015 we find out a lot more about where our defense "really is".
