Speaking Of Recruiting,......

For discussions sake......What does it say about the confidence, or lack thereof, in our QB contestants when "we" are actively engaged in potential 5th year transfers? First it was Golson and now I hear we are looking at Lambert??? W-T-H ! ! !

Greyson Lambert’s possible transfer cloud UGA’s QB picture

Virginia quarterback Greyson Lambert is coming to Athens this weekend to visit UGA and discuss a possible transfer, 247Sports.com is reporting. He’s heading to Florida after that and plans to visit Mike Bobo’s Colorado State program as well, according to the website.

But that’s not the real story here. The real story is, if all that is true, is what it says about Georgia’s quarterback situation. We know that Georgia already made overtures to or at the least had conversations with Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson, about a possible transfer.

See more for yourself.... SMDH !!!!

NCdawg. Golson was never in the mix. Had baggage and not a good fit for us.

Adding an experienced QB ....insurance. We are at 3 now however if anyone jumps ship

2 is uncomfortable. He is Looking at UF also. Rent a QB ... Go Dawgs

NC_Dawg,

That's the kind of thing that really makes me worry. We are supposed to have not one, not two, but THREE QB studs. And we're entertaining a 4th?

I'm all for having lots of depth. But something just tells me we have zero stud QBs and we'll take just about anything right now.

Anyone on the field can lose a game for you, but a QB can do it faster and easier than anyone.

Not pointing fingers at either of the above QBs - both DGDs in my book - but just making the point that one guy can ruin the day faster than most on the field.

(I guess my video links aren't working - but you wouldn't want to watch those anyway - Quincy Carter throwing 5 ints in one game and AM slinging the ball backwards against the 'Cocks a few years ago . . . gut wrenching.)

I was present during "Quitsy's" 5 INT afternoon........sad, SAD day in Sanford....

My concern, we were ILL-PREPARED last season and played a 4 year pine warmer....We should NOT be in the same boat again.....Then again,.....we have the bedwetter!?!?

Read the article earlier NC_Dawg.

My first thought was wow . . . . the AJC reporters are hitting the internet like there is no tomorrow. Had been mentioned here earlier that it would be interesting to watch the "happenings" now that Seth Emerson has climbed on board.

After that, just continues to solidify my reasoning to have little faith in the "top". In my mind it goes along with some earlier thoughts about the "two year" improvement plan . . . . that goes along with the National Championship plan. Believe you mentioned earlier that if something has changed . . . . "wake me up" . . . . have gone through season after season with the same "stuff. "Stuff" coming from the "top". That is what I gathered you meant.

Mark Richt does not and has not generated the same enthusiasm that other coaches such as the recent hires have added to UGA Football. Would be one thing if our head coach had slipped one year or even two years, however with the talent that has been on campus, no excuse for what has happened since 2006/2007. A while back on this board when some were "upset" there was a lot of talk about "roller coaster program". Looking at the 2014 Season record and those that we lost to and the coaching errors made . . . . now all is ok, back on the "two year plan, again".

As far as three quarterbacks that don't seem to have the qualifications to guide us through 2015 until the savior arrives, one simple question . . . . Whose fault is that? What position did our head coach play in high school, very little of in college, and zero in the NFL. Quarterback has been in turmoil for several years, for one reason or another. Much of what AM did, he did on his own with a lot of outside help.

Believe that Jacob Park is headed to Colorado. If I were Jacob, would have my bags packed and the door would not hit me in the ass.

Some day and here I go again, a word that some don't like to hear . . . . "Leadership" from the top is not a strong suit with our head coach.

There has been talent like we are seeing coming to Georgia next season for years. Mark Richt in in year 15 and all of a sudden the talent wants to stay in the State of Georgia and play for the Red and Black. Why? Easy question 101.

Edit . . . . Went back and see you had posted similar thoughts in your post #46. Spot on, fewer words.

True statement! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Here's where I am right now . . . show me a championship. I do believe that if appearances can be trusted, we have an OVERALL staff that can and will get the job done. Whether CMR is as good or as bad as some think won't matter much, if everyone else lives up to their potential, and the recruiting has certainly improved my optimism a little.

. . . but that "QB Thingy" has me worried.
