Good Morning All,
Good to see you back posting Thriller, Kudos for those who have hung in and added posted thoughts after NSD and the seasons end.
Buc unless I am mistaking we have kept a higher number of posters than in the recent past. Truly enjoy hearing others express themselves. It causes me to ponder and mull. Like it…learning all the time
This week’s Blue Plate Special: NSD+1…CSO… #tag#
NSD plus one week…. Several of our regulars expressed feelings about the annual circus and I agree. It was correctly pointed out there is enough blame to be shared by Coaches being misleading to recruits, recruits flipping and re-flipping and then the fans being like sharks at feeding time.
The RS mess has been chewed and chewed again. It will sort itself out but I know CJP will watch with a keen eye if he comes to Athens.
After weeding the garden of ME people no way in hell is CJP going to make any exceptions and allow a reintroduction of this problem.
RS is to declare again today from his HS….where he will attend college...quote NcDawg.. Yawn!!
Sizzle has gone cold....he has to get it back playing and not talking...I hope he does..be good news for us.
Seth Emerson wrote after signing day that this was the best D line recruited in the country. He followed that all the new Dawgs have an attitude about them. No talk just let the way we play speak about who we are. That to me is what we have been missing for a number of years.
I have posted here several times..Players don’t like what is being said..one way and only one way to change the conversation..just win!!
Proof is the current talk about our basketball team….winning games.
Coaches Speak Out:
CTR….. we need to learn to win in November if we want to still be playing come December. Truth!!! Coach Rock
CAL…. Practice hard…so you can play easy….. pound the “G”…. players buying into our new SC coaches replacement to the mat drills. The word I get is that the SC staff have clicked. True a fresh face..speaks with experience from Tuscaloosa and several NC's….
CRS…. I know what a SEC OL looks like….big..and bigger… fast..and faster… and….. depth… being able to roll fresh guys in and pound on the defense….add a big scoop of nasty.. I call them road graders….making roads for our RB..more truth Coach Rob.
#tag-Hash……
10 of the SEC 14 teams have new Coordinators some have added two.
Only Bama and Ole Miss have not.
If you add assistant coaches then all 14 SEC teams have many new faces.
The heads are not impressed with our new OC. To me that is a good thing….true he did not burn the woods down in the NFL, however there are several HC’s in the SEC who did not prove out in the NFL but found success coaching college ball. The two I am thinking of have NC on their resumes.
These same heads had Louisville and Towels “D” beating us in the BB
11 SEC teams will be with new QB’s
We play the 3 who have returning starters-UT-Mizzou-KY all 3 we beat last year. UT may make it 12 teams..Dobbs is not a sure thing.
Point is we are not the only team that is adjusting to new players and coaches.
However we have imo the best talent returning and have added key position players.
Now go coach'm up.....way past the time for us to get over the yips and beating ourselves...please.. thanks!
Much has been written about how we are taking on the look of Tuscaloosa east.
That IMO it is true to a point, to my thinking we have young coaches who learned under CNS and other coaches that are now taking the next step. They are adding their touch and ideas growing with the new added challenges.
They are not just trying to clone CNS a good thing as it would fail badly
Pause and give thanks
Have a great weekend and a safe week
As always “Go Dawgs”…and…Pound the “G”
Go Dawgs!
