Well my take on the last game was Chubb is Chubb and he's awesome.

As for the play calling from John Lilly...not bad at all. However, it did show that it wasn't just Mike Bobo play calling this season either. When you have players like Chubb, Gurley, Conley, etc. If you don't put up 40 points per game its a travesty. I think we'll see Lilly officially become the new OC.

My hopes are for a strong showing in 2015. Doesn't mean I'm back on the Richt bandwagon.

Having said all that...GO DAWGS !!!

Yeah... I never thught we would depend on Mason (or anyone else) for this game. It was all about
our running. If the O-line showed up; that was the factor that mattered.

They did.

In spades.

Winning by running it down Grantham's throat was pretty sweet stuff.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

What's interesting to me is that CMR/Bobo even recruited Ramsey. He only averaged throwing the ball about 6 times a game and ran the Wing T offense....complete opposite of a pro-style offense. Bauta without a doubt threw the ball much more than Ramsey, so for me, I'm interested in what they saw in Ramsey and how they knew about his arm. You would have to know he would be a project as a pro style QB because he never had to read defenses (to much extent). So far you can see he still is having trouble reading D's....throws into double coverages....great arm, great athlete but can he develope into a Pro style QB. Kids usually develope their "style" in jr. high.

WHAT did they see from a Wing T QB that threw it 6 times a game? HOW did they grade him out as a prospect? No wonder they are NUTS about Eason.

He may have a great year.....just very "curious" to me.

I've seen film on Ramsey. He did have limited attempts, but a lot of those attempts were
down the field in the middle to deep range. During those attempts it was evident he had
a pretty good cannon. He was also accurate on those deep throws. Plus he didn't turn the
ball over as he usually threw 17-19 TD's with only 2-3 ints.

Most who recruited him projected him to develop into a pocket pro style passer despite his
HS offensive scheme. The key word there to me was "develop", because he was a bit behind reading D's and didn't always display great footwork because of the lack of attempts/experience: All correctable with time and a good QB coach.

To me the issue is that he was a great kid to take a chance on if he would redshirt and then get an additional 2 years learning as the #2 guy.. taking over as a junior (eligibility wise). The redshirt part happened, but not the other. I think here he may be thrust into the starting role 1 season too early, taking the job as a redshirt sophomore instead of junior.

That is however the situation we are in if Bauta has been brushed aside, unless Park can step up and prove he's more ready. I'm also not just brushing off Ramsey in 2015 either, but I think it's obvious he's going to need to really step up from what we've seen so far.

ReservoirDawg,I am feeling about the same:"My hopes are for a strong showing in 2015. Doesn't mean I'm back on the Richt bandwagon."

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

wartdawg is right on point with his comments about Ramsey. He was recruited for one reason and one reason only and that is his right arm. He still has a VERY LONG ways to go with his coverage reading and his footwork and he could very well get there by next August and be a stud with that arm. BUT I think he so far behind the 8-Ball that Park is going to steal the starting job, I'm not counting out Bauta either but I feel like he just doesn't fit our system in CMR's head.

Park on the other hand has the "potential" to be a very good QB. I watched the kid play 4 games his senior year and walked away saying WOW, he made some fixable mistakes but the kid seriously has the total package. His arm is very live, he has good footwork, makes good decisions, can extend the play and is a competitor with tons of FIRE in him. I've compared him to Murray and if you watch film on him you will see a lot of Murray. I think he has an edge about him that the will make the players around him bring it even more.

With three studs battling for the QB position next year it will make our new starter bring it and he will be better prepared to start because of the competition. I think we are going to be in a great position at QB next year just for the mere fact that someone is going to have to work their butt off to earn it!
