Wasn't just Junior, Buc.. and we old farts all know it. That entire sport was built by
'shine runners.

I love though how Junior has two of his 'shine cars in his museum of "racers".

God Bless and Go Dawgs

I was in the movie Greased Lighting about Wendell Scott. Worked with Richard Pryor, Beau Bridges and Richie Havens. I was a pit crew extra. Went to a lot of dirt tracks in Ga and saw a lot of vintage cars race. Fun 3 months.
Wendell came around every now and then.

I am in the middle in the picture.

For winning the Natty give every Dawg a bone AND prime rib steak.

Good read. Know that you are into cars.

Used to spend time at the Lakewood Track back in the day. Bob, Tim and Fonty Flock were very popular drivers then. Lots of Husdons, Henry J's and every make of car imaginable. Gober Sosebee was a big name back then, had his shop in Mountain View, Georgia. Bell Brothers were also big in the sport, had their shop and junkyard on Highway 54 between Atlanta and Forest Park.

Anyone into the racing history in Georgia, there is a link below.
