Buc... The way we played defense is a symptom of the disease, but it's not the disease itself.

In the pregame radio show Pruitt said
"... contain the edges.... force Florida to play one-dimensional"
and we got it again, from Richt via Seth Emerson via Buc.
"A lot of things, but Richt's focus was on the inability to stop the runs to the outside. That was where the Gators got their long touchdown runs. Plus, f the Bulldogs had been able to do that, it could have forced Florida to be more one-dimensional in its play calls."

What's really one dimensional is their "smoke and mirrors" approach to analyzing their failures...Again, to borrow from the political brethren,....repeat, repeat, repeat, no matter the validity or the obviousness, keep repeating until the doe-eyed are satisfied that it was just "one of those college football games",....all is well and the good guy has everything under control......

That's right Steve... we couldn't contain the edges because we were lethargic and soft and couldn't get off a block
to save our lives.
It's so nice that the first two days of Richt's deflections have all been to point his finger at the defense, but let's not mention this...
The offense:
Drive 1 - PUNT
Drive 2 - TD
Drive 3 - PUNT
Drive 4 - Missed FG
Drive 5 - PUNT
Drive 6 - PUNT
Drive 7 - Clock Management... the PUNT would have been more palatable
Drive 8 - PUNT
Drive 9 - Fumble
Drive 10 - PUNT
By this point the score was 31-7
            to save our lives.

soooo Pruitt knew what needed to be done and did not prepare his players. How is this cmr's fault?
cmr knows didley about defense...he is/was just repeating what he was told by his defensive coaches...cmr is responsible for the overall play but the blame needs to be put where it belongs also at the feet of cmr, bobo and pruitt...all 3 share this loss equally and nothing has changed in Athens except the names...
