From Athens-GDF # 5

Good Morning All,

GDF Friday #5 – one third of the season has gone by all too quickly.

Before getting to Vandy I have few chores to get done

I have a deep respect for all that I share this wee small piece of cyberspace with.

There is such a wealth to football knowledge that is shared and much appreciated by myself each week

95% percent of what is posted is personal opinion that and along with a few facts we borrow from other sites and posters

If I find myself:

Not understanding an opinion I will seek an explanation. Not as a point of disagreement but trying to both see and understand were a poster is coming from

Nothing I post is done with the effort to change anyone’s mind

Example: I am in agreement with exception to the glaring USC mistake on how TG is being used. While others think not so. Fine with me I am damn happy to have him healthy and….. Playing for us and not Bama!!

On to the Dores…..

I posted before the Troy game…treat it as a paid practice

Level of competition up a few notches but being home and having TG plus our OL…. the mindset should be the same.

Play a bunch of people including QB’s

Shout out again for CFW and the uglies … stacking the box and still making better than good running lanes for our backs and this group gets better each game…. Good job

We can’t grumble if we pass the ball more. Only way I know to get some much needed respect for our flat lined passing game.

Worry about next week….next week

Take care of Vandy quickly and with a good deal of malice this week

Weather will be perfect and it is Home Coming

Time to mash the pedal on the far right with a great deal of zeal

Yankeedawg Georgia should get plenty of treats my friend have a great weekend.

Thanks yd1....back to regular "cool ones" for you since game is at 4:00.

Man, 12 hours of great football tomorrow.....veg day.

Don't assume Vandy is laying down, get to business early and like you said yd1, let's get some practice throwing the ball around some....uh, after TG and company get a good lead.

Not much to say except everyone have a great weekend and hopefully we will all see some "positive" things tomorrow.

At this point I am not sure where we are or maybe I should say, where we're going. Hope that the game with Vandy can answer some of what I think many of us are concerned about thus far.

Also like the fact that the game will be played later in the day, allows the businesses in Athens to make some extra money.

Speaking for myself, will be watching more than Hutson Mason's play.

Vandy will come to play, and if you would allow me this. Vanderbilt was definitely on the rise in the SEC under Franklin. Same thing is going on now at Penn State. Some lead, some follow.

As always thanks yankeedawg1. I hope HM brings his A game and shuts all the critics (including myself) down! I hope to see a good bit of Ramsey and Bauta, some passes to our TE's (PLEASE) and a good dose of Douglas. I hope we feed the BEAST Gurley early and often and let him rest up for next weekend because we are going to really need him! Most of all I hope the boys play hard and have FUN!
