How stupid is it to redhirt guys who may leave after their 3rd year of eligibility anyway...
You never know when an injury may end a career... so you may be saving them for nothing.

Running Backs of this caliber definitely help in the recruiting of offensive linemen. Kolton Houston was as happy with the running backs as the backs themselves were. Looks like Will Friend has some depth finally.

The caliber of competition that Gurley is facing in todays college game is of a much higher quality than Walker's days in college. Guess it is the old apples and oranges thingy. Yes, HW could play today, he was that talented.
In my mind Walker and Bo Jackson were the best ever, but Gurley is not through, and could end up being right there with the two mentioned. All three were/are "all that".
