There comes a time for "All of us" to either agree with this statement or . . . .
Is the only time that you and I can openly discuss UGA Football in the offseason is if we don't have that "press pass"?
Why is it if "we" have to read what others say and then draw conclusions from what their statements represent?
An example. Jon Gruden said when referring to AM and stars by their names. Gruden said he has never understood how those in the press corps could explain what they say, or how they can put *****'s by their names. Other than the fact they have a privilege to get information that you and I are not to use or hear or . . . . cannot make money on like they do. The only difference between those that you read for free or pay for is their admittance into the "private circle" because of the fees paid by those that put their signatures on their paychecks.
Ask any one of the beat writers why they have an inside "scoop". Check every listing/post/thread/article the next day, each and everyone of the beat writers have the same message. Couple of newprints want you to sign up . . . . why? What is the "exclusive" that their publication has that every other media outlet does not have?
Have to say this . . . . Where did Leonard Floyd come from? Is Buc making a point? Everyone in the press loves to follow Jenkins and others . . . . anyone watching Floyd? The press corps loves Floyd now . . . . where were they prior to Floyd breaking out?
Trying to understand why more on this board and others don't understand that we/you are on "equal footing" with those that are priviliged to the . . . . listen closely . . . . "the inside". Say again, most that write have never spent one day with pads on. Don't believe that? Ask them.
I understand that some on this board don't like to hear the "real stuff". That is why I hang my hat here.
As DWS said, some like to read, they are "very smart" when the season starts. Nothing wrong with the truth.
