No way will Bobo ever be a HC for an SEC team! Yes he has improved over the last couple of years and yes he can develop good QB's BUT my opinion is that he is not Big Boy SEC HC material. BUT I have been wrong before, actually many times! AM has made him and our O look pretty good the last few years and it doesn't hurt to have a BEAST like Gurley carrying the rock either. I just don't see the intensity from Bobo that it takes to be an SEC HC, heck he coaches from the booth...

Pruitt is the type of man that young kids respect and look up to and will go to war for, he is for sure HC material! Is he the next HC in waiting at UGA, I think he could be but he still has a lot to prove yet...

Be the first one to raise my hand and say I was one of those that mentioned head coach and grantham in the same breath.

Wonder why I said that? I have my reasons and have stated them more than once on this board over a long period of time. Been back and forth with Richt, tried my best to "get along" with him. Pretty much lost it with Richt when he started using words like "consistency". Feel he should have gone to the dictionary before using the word.

Another part of the conversation. Why would we bring in a coach and pay him as much as the previous defensive coordinator. Same time having never coached a down in Athens, Pruitt makes many thousands more than Mike Bobo who has been around for a long time. Is there not something that needs to be looked at? Do the higher ups think that Mike Bobo is not as qualified to coach as Pruitt? Lots of gaps in the way Richt, McGarity and others view structure in Athens.

Could Pruitt become the head coach? With the lack of leadership that I have seen over more than one or two years in Athens, could be mission impossible. Bet this, Pruitt will not hang around long, he is as said before, on a mission. As sflanagan21 said, has yet to show his stuff . . . . in Athens. Pruitt brings a totally different "style" of coaching and recruiting to the Classic City, from where I sit, much needed.

I was a toddy supporter but Richt had 14 years I'm ready for somebody else
to have a chance.

The one big plus for CJP he knows we have problems and he has tried to address them.
The players have said he's our man so will see.

How Bout them Dawgs!!!!!!!

I supported CTG for HC also but really started to change my thinking on him in the middle of his third season, and sealed it for me with him after the SEC CG when the Tide ran all over us in the 2nd half.

DWS, you are right with your remark about Pruitt sees our problems. One of the first things he did upon arrival was lock himself in the film room.

Below is a video that shows just how involved he is. Looks more like what we see in high school coaching. He is definitely hands on. UGA needs this, has for a long time.
