From Athens-Oh Joy more snow

Good Morning All,

Remember today is Valentine’s Day Sweets for the Sweet

Flowers if only a single rose will be appreciated

Crazy just saw group cross country skiing in front of the Arch on the local TV news

Georgia is bent out of shape with all the snow and ice

She looks at me and asks,

Do I have any idea what it feels like to sit your butt on a block of ice and try and do your business? Well not exactly I answer

Told her I would have that fixed by June

That got me a low growl as she went and curled up in front of the fireplace Man’s best friend

Thus far we have been able to avoid any power outages - Thank You God!

I want to go back to last week’s post- Happy I Am

Just to clarify:

I am not happy that CMR gets a pass and still remains HC

I am not happy the Mac is a scrooge with our money; I understand he has Bosses -But….. he still can do his part

I am not happy with the “The Group” holding their interests ahead of our football program.

Always waiting until push comes to shove before doing a damn thing

I am not happy that the senior year of one of the best college QB’s was wasted by a clueless Towel waving idiot and his underperforming staff
CCW excluded

Correction makes that the last two years of AM’s career

Never should have come down to the last 5 yards IMHO

We hung enough points on CKS defense to win which CNS understood and acknowledge the Tide dodged a bullet

Given time I am sure I could come up with more to my IANH list

Now what Happy I Am about:

TG has a new mailing address. He is out of Athens and the SEC.

We have hired a staff on the defense and beefed up the ST side of the ball

This new staff has a proven history of taking talent and coaching them up. This one point is a radical change for our program. This is a happy point because it is an opportunity for improvement

Mark Wohlers was a relief pitcher for the Braves some years ago and was the first I heard use-

“Success is when opportunity and preparation meet”

For me there is a bunch of meat in that quote.

I have used it as a business management teaching tool many times

I am happy about CBM being named our new Recruiting Coordinator

Past time for a boost in his pay you hear that Scrooge!

Just think that with CJP and his crew added in CMB,CTB,and CBM we have upgraded

Yes I know we have for the most part always have recruited well

Coaching was the main issue once they hit campus

Ogredawg posted he was happy that I was happy-Thanks

I hope you understand why I am leaning with caution toward happy

Just to be sure… I know we still need to prove the “Happy” on the field

It sure feels better talking about our future with the possibilities that these changes present

The alternative was trying to endure another season of Towel Toddy leading our defense. That friends is a major Not Happy!

yankeedawg1, many good points again in your post. Know that many up that way have been and are still going through a lot. Sometimes we get a little complacent, don't appreciate things like utilities, until we have to do without them. Understand that there is the possibility of another front moving in.

Speaking to the changes being made in Athens surrounding the football program, there are some coaching lessons to be learned if all are willing to open their minds.

Edit: yd1, went back and read your post again, I normally do that with almost every post on this board. One of the reasons I returned to your post was this particular sentence. If ever the the truth was told, this is it.
